Within Zoologist, Lomros brought a distinctly Southeast Asian sensibility to the brand’s animal portraits, giving Bat a more vivid, humid and mineral reading of the fruit bat concept. The result feels less like a literal sketch than a cinematic landscape, with the perfume’s progression doing much of the storytelling.
Collaborators
Victor Wong shaped the Zoologist concept and brief, guiding the brand’s animal-habitat storytelling and the reformulation’s place within that larger menagerie. Prin Lomros then translated that vision into the 2020 formula, reworking Bat as a new interpretation with tropical fruit, damp earth and leathery shadow.

Zoologist builds fragrances as character studies of the animal world, using scent to evoke habitats, behaviors and moods rather than conventional beauty tropes. The house is known for imaginative, often surprising compositions, detailed visual storytelling and a strong ethical preference for synthetic materials.
Bat 2020’s concept
Bat (2020) was released in late April 2020 as a reformulation of the original 2015 fragrance. Prin Lomros reimagined the idea of a tropical fruit bat as a journey from sweet jungle fruit into a cavernous, mineral darkness, with the scent shifting from guava-like brightness to soil, roots, incense and leathery wings.
