Love. Tattoos. Tobacco. Whisky. Chocolate. Nature. Coffee. Cupcakes. Travel. Tea. Happiness.

These irresistible vices are the inspiration behind Akro, a brand named for the French word for “addict”. Akro perfumes supply the hit, the high, the rush of everyday pleasures. This hedonistic endeavour has been lovingly powered by Master Perfumer Olivier Cresp (creator of such blockbusters as Angel and Light Blue) and his forward-thinking daughter Anaïs.

With Olivier’s expertise and Anais’s ingenuity, the collection was born — seaweed, hazelnut, whisky and ink are just a few of the unconventional notes that shape this unique set. Olivier has combined these outliers with superb ingredients from the Firmenich palette, the renowned perfumery where he has formulated fragrances since 1992.

It all began when founder Anaïs Cresp moved to London and became enraptured by the vibrant scents and scenes in her adopted neighbourhood of Ladbroke Grove. Flower stalls, coffee houses, charcoal grills; the grand old Irish pubs with their whisky and leather hum, and the inescapable haze of weed in the streets. An idea seized her: instead of just fruits and flowers, perhaps you could wear your favourite vice on your skin. Akro was born.
